Vinicius Moretto has been serving as a Federal Highway Police Officer since 2006, amassing significant experience in both operational and administrative roles within the State of Santa Catarina. Additionally, he has held a commissioned position at the National Headquarters of the institution in Brasília. He earned his degree in Physical Education from the Federal University of Santa Catarina in 2004. He furthered his education with a specialization in Traffic Accident Investigation from the Federal Institute of Santa Catarina in 2016. Vinicius also completed a Master’s degree in Defense and Hemispheric Security at the Inter-American Defense College in Washington, D.C., from 2022 to 2023, along with a specialization in Intelligence and Innovation Applied to Combating Organized Crime from the Federal University of Santa Catarina, which he is set to complete in 2025.
Vinicius Moretto’s training is not confined to national borders. He completed the International Law of Armed Conflicts Course at the Superior Defense School in 2022 and the Police Management Studies Program (EGESP) in 2014. His international exposure includes the Law Enforcement Leadership Development Program at the International Law Enforcement Academy in 2015, and seminars organized by Immigration and Customs Enforcement focused on combating illicit markets, protecting intellectual property rights, and conducting criminal investigations. He also attended the Brazil–Argentina Border Facilitation Committee Seminar and the National Defense Extension Course in 2015, significantly enhancing his global perspective.
